From a small unassuming workshop in North London, Peter Bellerby has created a one of the kind company, Bellerby & Co Globemakers. Started in 2008 it is currently one of the only places in the world making bespoke hand-painted globes. Every aspect of the globe can be customized, allowing the client to create something truly unique and personal to them. Making just one globe requires a whole host of specialist craftspeople, woodworkers, cartographers, globemakers, and finally, painters all of which play a vital role in producing these globes. A small globe can take three weeks to complete with a large globe taking upwards of 8 months.
